The trouble is that a mask’s efficacy is directly tied to its disposability. Reusable masks, for instance, become and remain contaminated, often transforming into vehicles for viral transmission themselves. Sadly, reusable cloth masks are usually very poor in terms of actual filtering capacities and don't present any certifications either.
You can contact us through our contact page! We will be happy to assist you.
Surgical mask are primarily used to protect the wearer’s environment by retaining exhaled droplets. If the mask fits correctly and reasonably tightly, it can also serve to protect the wearer from droplets in the ambient air.
Surgical masks are disposable products. When it is worn, the mask becomes wet and no longer provides protection. Surgical masks should therefore be thrown away as soon as they become soaked or after 2/3 hours at the latest.
Yes, there are significant differences between Type I, Type II and Type II R surgical masks. The distinguishing features are the filter performance against bacteria (BFE), the pressure of the spray water resistance, the resistance against liquid splashes and the breathing resistance.
Surgical masks offer a high filter performance and thus protects the wearer’s surroundings. Since the breathing resistance of surgical masks is lower, they are more comfortable to wear than FFP masks and can be worn even during strenuous activities.
The WWF estimates that 10 million single-use masks will pollute our oceans each month, if just 1% of masks are disposed of incorrectly.
Our EcoBreathe™ masks are made from non-woven, high-density polypropylene (PP), using patent-pending manufacturing processes, which allows them to be FULLY RECYCLABLE.
Yes. In fact, our EcoBreathe™ masks all received the according CE certifications and are perfectly in line with the UE's highest industry standards. Available in Medical Grade & Non-Medical Grade options.
If it is their first EcoBreathe order, it can happen pretty often that customers get confused about wether the earloops are missing or not. This is because they are slightly different from the non-recyclable version and need to be pulled off from the mask.
Most local councils will accept EcoBreathe™(plastic film recycling, grade 5) through their kerbside recycling programs. Alternatively, you can send them back to us, COST-FREE. We will collect and process the masks at our warehouse, before shipping them in bulk to one of our recycling partners.
For orders from within Europe, we include a prepaid return shipping label with every EcoBreathe order, so that you can send them back through any national post.
For orders from outside Europe, you will have to email us first (at email@example.com), so that we can schedule the return with FedEx for you.
Simply collect your masks in our resealable plastic baggie, place them back in their box, and post them to us after a 72 hour quarantine period.
FFP2 / N95 Masks
The FFP2 / N95 mask protects the wearer from inhaling smallest airborne particles, droplets and aerosols.
In general, FFP2 / KN95 masks can be worn for up to 8/9 hours, in other words, for an entire work shift.
Yes, filtering facepieces are divided into three main protection levels.
For Europe: FFP1, FFP2 & FFP3.
For the USA: N90, N95 & N99.
If used correctly, FFP2 / N95 masks offer a high level of protection for the wearer (and the patient, if used without a valve).
